Over the years Congreso has helped many people. These are just a few stories about how Congreso has changed lives.

Sandra Rodriguez

Housing Counseling and Financial Literacy Program

Through the Housing Program, Sandra was able to get the help she needed to keep her home. Her housing counselor also mentored her about finance and real state to prevent her from falling into a similar situation.

Alesandel Cruz

Exito Program

Through the Exito program, which brings together tutoring and entrepreneurship, supported by a guiding relationship with Congreso staff, Alesandel has pulled his grades from failing to A's and B's and he has created a business plan to start his own car wash.

Daniel Cariño

Youth Works

Daniel is one of the few male Latinos who will be going to college, overcoming peer-pressure to drop out from school. His teachers and mentors at Congreso encouraged him to fulfill his dream.

Catherine Guzman

Careers in Insurance Program

Before Catherine approached Congreso, she was an unemployed, single mother who was almost evicted from her home. Through the Careers in Insurance Program, she obtained her license and now she is employed at Nationwide Insurance.
