lGLACS is a holistic teaching and learning environment. The goal is to provide a solid educational program developed through the study of aerospace/aviation and to develop creative leaders who will not follow a path, but who will become future leaders of the world. We aim to nurture creative, competent and compassionate leaders.

Our vision is to do more than prepare students for the 21st Century work place. Our vision is to prepare our students to change and make a better world. The Charter School fosters a holistic philosophy of education. Completing its seventh year of serving children and families, the Charter School enrolls more than five hundred students in grades kindergarten through eight. Although we have a strong community base of enrollment from the West Philadelphia community composite, our vocational theme of aviation and aerospace attracts students from various other Philadelphia communities including the Southwest Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, Northeast Philadelphia and Northwest Philadelphia communities. It is our goal that students will graduate endowed with nine foundational core virtues. It is this level of emotional intelligence, social intelligence and spiritual intelligence that will propel students to persist through high school and garner the fortitude required to successfully attain their mission and goals.
